The Deadlift Dilemma

gym-592899_1920Ah, the barbell. One of my favorite pieces of exercise equipment. When I was first losing weight, I spent a lot of time with one of these. My go-to move was the deadlift. I was able to build up to relative heavy weights fast. I felt strong and I loved seeing my progress.

Fast forward to today where the only gym I have access to is 20 minutes away and doesn’t even have barbells. While I’d like a barbell of my own one day, it might be smart for me to clean out my basement first. πŸ™‚ I am faced with the choice of no deadlifts or deadlifts using light weights. I have two adjustable dumbbells that go up to 25 pounds each and a 15 pound kettlebell. Perhaps it’s time to try a single leg Romanian deadlift. Here’s a video I found.Β It looks…hmmm…tricky. Now that volleyball’s over, I’m ready for a new workout routine, so I guess I’ll let you know how it goes.
